Marie's Message
Hello Ladies,
Happy Thursday to you!! May the love of Christ fill your hearts and minds this day!
I am going to be completely honest with you - I'm struggling with what to write. God has been giving me such rich things in my time with Him. I've been writing and writing these days. His word is powerful - it is TRUTH!!!! It is living - it changes lives.
I just got back from a funeral - David Edwards, 27 years old, so young and so much life left to live. I can't believe how difficult it must be for the family. The message of the funeral was "Don't run FROM God but run TO God." Jake so beautifuly sang "Come to Jesus". (Take some time to read the lyrics on the devotional page). Sometimes we fall on Jesus - sometimes we come to Jesus - sometimes we cry to Jesus - sometimes we sing to Jesus. Right now I'm RUNNING TO JESUS! In His arms is where I long to be - held safe and secure. In His arms is where I find comfort, peace, truth and hope. Run to Him today - let Him hold you.
Don't turn a deaf ear to Him and His Word - don't pray and then get up and do your own thing.
Haggai 1:5 & 7 tells us to "Give careful thought to our ways". Ladies, we are responsible for ourselves - our actions and reactions. Seek His face and give careful thought to your ways. You and you alone will stand before God one day and your records will be open for all to see. Oh, may Jesus say "Well done, you good and faithful servant."
Isaiah 43: 1-3 says, "Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy one of Israel, your Savior."
Psalms 42:5 - "Why so downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God."
Proverbs 1:33 - "but whoever listens to me will live safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."
Colossians 4:2 "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."
His word IS powerful - it is TRUTH! Meditate on it today!!!!
Hugs,
Marie
